Exploring Christianity

Do you ever wish you knew more about your faith?

Have you ever wondered about how we got our Bible?
Do you wish you could answer your neighbours’ questions with more clarity?
Do you feel you could be more active in the life of your church if you knew more?

If so then this is a course that will help you. It has been developed in the Diocese of Bath & Wells together with Trinity College, Bristol.
The Diocese of Bristol has joined in a partnership to deliver and develop this course.

 Who is this course for?

All lay people, who want to explore faith, deepen their commitment and learn together with other interested students, whether or not they wish to pursue a calling to recognised official ministry.
There are no age limitations and no previous experience is necessary.
Come with an open mind, your experience and your background.
The course can also form the first part of Reader training.

 When does it run?

Beginning September the Deanery will be hosting a group at St Martins, our neighbouring parish. For further information or to book on please contact the Diocese (0117) 9060100 and ask for Exploring Christianity

 What subjects are covered?

A wide range – the different topics include spirituality, bible (old and new testaments), Christian history, ethics and issues.

 What will it be like?

The course is designed to be both stimulating and relevant. There will be study involved but the main focus will be on equipping you for ministry in South Bristol, in your homes and places of work and churches. As we will be a small group there will be plenty of time to explore any questions you may have as we go along and tailor the course. Please note that we are limited to 12 participants for the first module.
